Soil

HNP soil can be classified as both mountain soil and mountain valley soil. Mountain soil dominantly includes meadow brown soil, dark brown soil, and dark soil, while the valley soil is made of dark soil and meadow brown soil. In some areas meadows and salt-marsh are dominant. The soil structure is sand and clay. The first layer of the soil is organically rich (Battulga 1998). HNP soil is eroded lightly, yet vulnerable to wind and rainwater.
